Hello Anderson Mill!
Halloween’s cobwebs are barely down, and the candy stash is already dwindling—which can only mean one thing: Thanksgiving is on the way! As we trade costumes for casseroles and pumpkins for pies, it’s time to slow down, count our blessings, and gear up for a cozy season of gratitude, good food, and neighborhood togetherness.
Here is what’s happening in the neighborhood:
🌸 Wildflower Patches 🌻
Have you seen the new wildflower signs near Harper Park and El Salido Walking Trail? Thank the AMLD Parks and Landscaping Committee, led by Mike Chaney and Nikki Hinkle! Jon Wagner and his family helped install the first patches. Wildflower fields take several years to establish, so expect modest results this spring. A total of 6 patches will be created in the coming weeks. If you are interested in helping email greenspaces@andersonmillna.org.

🌳It's Tree Planting Time!
The ice storms of 2021 and 2023 took a toll on our trees, but help is here! Through Tree Folks’ NeighborWoods program, you can get two free native trees (5-gallon size) delivered to your door. These trees are easy to plant, water-efficient, and grow fast.
👉 How to get yours:
Visit treefolks.org/neighborwoods and click “Home Delivery” or call 512-443-LEAF (5323). Prefer in-person? Attend a monthly Tree Folks giveaway (Oct–Mar).
Let’s bring back the shade and beauty of Anderson Mill!
